Team

SPEEEL currently has 5 regular employees: Catherine, Annie, Yolanda, Christine, and Fabrice. Our employees have current approved First Aid and Food Safe certificates. They have also completed a Criminal Record Check as outlined in the Licensing Regulations. They also attend workshops related to childcare throughout the year.  

Catherine

Catherine is our early childhood educator manager. She is responsible for the administration and oversees the quality and good functioning of both programs (preschool and school care). She is the liaison between the participants (families, employees, school-community, Board of Administration). She is assigned to the preschool program three days a week (Wednesday, Thursday and Friday). Catherine has her diploma in Early Childhood Education, her Certificate from the BC ECE registry includes Basic ECE, Infant and Toddler, and Special Needs certification. She has been in the early childhood education field for 20 years and with us for 10 years. She is currently pursuing her Bachelor in Early Childhood Education.

Christine

Christine is the educator assigned to the after-school care program (Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday). She has her Certificate from the BC ECE Registry with the Basic ECE certification. Christine has been in the early childhood education field for over 20 years. Christine is a regular employee of the school and has been with us for 3 years.

Annie

Annie is the Educator assigned to the preschool program two days a week (Monday and Tuesday) and to the after-school care program Monday to Friday.  She has her Certificate from the BC ECE Registry with the Basic ECE certification. Annie has been in the early childhood education field for over 12 years, and with us for 10 years.

Fabrice

Fabrice is the educator assigned to the after-school care program Thursday and every second Friday (shared with Yolanda). Fabrice is also a regular employee of the school and has many years of experience working in school care settings. He has been with us for 4 years.

Yolanda

Yolanda is the Educator assigned to the before school care program (Monday to Friday) and after school care every second Friday (shared with Fabrice).  She has her Certificate from the BC ECE Registry with the ECE assistant certification. She has been in the early childhood education field with us for 6 years.
